Built for good times
First established in early 2000’s this resort has been built with consultation from various Durban fishing and beach loving families and has grown over the years to provide a magical location for a stress free beach holiday. All houses have space to park one’s boat securely at your house so you are able to easily prepare for the next days fishing and leave your boat fully equipped.
The resort is neighboured by two other resorts, Oyster Bay and Sol de Ligogo, who also make use of the Legogo Bay and launch site. These two resorts are smaller compared to Legogo Beach Resort and hence do not bring in lots of people to detract from the remote beauty of the Legogo Beach resort and surrounds.
Water and electricity
All houses have electricity and most have generator back up in the unlikely event of extended downtime by EDM.
Water is supplied from the inland fresh water lakes and while this water is filtered it is not recommended for human consumption. Safe palatable water is available from within the Ligogo village and the houses have water canisters that can be refilled every few days.
Security
The resort has 24/7 security guards that patrol between the houses but Legogo Resort has a great relationship with the local community and enjoys a secure friendly environment.
Internal roads
All internal roads are sand jeep tracks and a 4×4 is required. The roads are maintained by management and tyres are pulled through the resort occasionally however guests must drop their tyre pressures to under 1 bar to ensure the integrity of the roads are maintained the vehicles do not dig in.
